Background, research direction, and selected recognition.

Dr. Chenggang Wang serves as an assistant professor in the Polytechnic Institute at the University of Oklahoma. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Cincinnati in 2022 (supervised by Prof. Boyang Wang). Before joining academia, Dr. Chenggang Wang has served in industry and contributed his expertise to renowned companies such as EMC, Nuance, and Amazon.

As the founder and leader of Cipher Lab at OU, Dr. Wang directs research on next-generation secure and accountable computing systems. His work prioritizes the security, privacy, and utility needs of users through interdisciplinary research spanning AI and machine learning, cryptography, trusted hardware, and software engineering. He has published in security and networking venues including ACM WiSec, IEEE HOST, IEEE CNS, and ACM CODASPY. He is a member of IEEE and ACM.
